....and this popped out shortly after a real pissy episode.
The "pissy"...hubby called shortly before I got on here reporting to me that he just rear ended a car. Of course I was concerned and asked if he and the other person were okay. Relieved at hearing his "yes"...I asked how it happened to which he explained. I literally BLEW THE F UP at him!
Cold and callous,..well, you may be right there..HOWEVER...wait...I have a good point. You see,..hubby is and always has been a very last minute guy. Drives me absolutely effing NUTS! I detest lateness of any sort unless you have a very good reason as life is life and poop piles happen. However, the only pile of poop around here is the one he creates around himself! After slapping his butt sore verbally and explaining why it happened via the " for every action, there is a reaction",that had he left earlier instead of what he always does,..yada yada blah blah..you know the rest,.. I promptly hung up on him but still very thankful that he and the other rear end-ee were okay.
I calmed down and collected myself,..then the call came in from the police station in our district where the Sargent had me jot down the file number for the fender bender. The officer explained that all in all, between both vehicles that there may be only about $2,000.00 worth of damage and reassured me that they were both okay and unshaken..phewww. I guess hearing this from a true authority figure made me feel that much better.
That being the case..I thought about it and yes,..things could have been that much worse with people ending up in the hospital. From that...I thought "life" is good,..it's more a "slice" meant to be eaten and enjoyed.
Every once in a while, a bad taste can happen in the slice of life,..so what...you go a get another piece while you still have a big pie to dig into!
Ohhh yeah...I'm thinking he's really truly learned a lesson, then again..so have I...

So glad you're doing SWS! It's a lot of fun. I usually do it every week... (Missed yesterday though.)
I've rear ended two cars in the past two years. (I then proceeded to get a new glasses perscription....) One accident totaled my car, the other was just a scratch - both of them left my loved ones on edge, so I hear your emotion. I'm glad your hubby was able to walk away and that your car is still in working order - things could def be worse.
Glad you're playing 6WS - it's my weekly treat. I look forward to reading more of your posts cuz if Rabbit backs ya, you've got my attention!
I'll try to every Sat, but round these parts, well damn,..you never know :-P
Thanks Lady J..glad to see here taht despite the bum crunches that you came out of it okay. Could have been worse indeed,..no one could of walked away if it had been,..so somebody up there likes us.
Rabbit is my good bud. Will never be as exciting a blogger as he, so donn't feel obligated to be bored..lol!
M. do you realize how long you and I have been friends now? I joined Tribe back in late '04 - and I think you and I began talking in early '05ish... Does that sound right? And it's now 2010! How time flies. What a trip.
Can ANYONE be as exciting a blogger as Rabbit? Unlikely. Regardless, I wasn't bored for a sec.... Ta!
M'Dear Rabbit...I believe you're right! 5 years!! Much as I love our friendship..what I would LOVE to do is actually meet you in all the glorious flesh that you are! Don't get me all wrong, this has and still will be a trip, but trippier still would to be there or you here, to share the sillinesses! One day..it could happen. Let's keep dreaming..it's what keeps us alive! :-)
Cheers Hun and I look forward to many more! x0x
Very nice new look! And my husband FINALLY learned that lesson about running late. Luckily, without serious injury to anyone involved. Glad your husband is okay.
Thanks for playing 6WS.
